5 Methods To Getting Through “Stuck” Energy

Many times we feel blocked energetically and creatively. As a writer with deadlines, I can tell you this is not ideal. But it occasionally happens for a wide range of reasons including stress, when in focusing too much on the effects of the world, eating an inorganic diet or worrying about something without even realizing it.

So I started asking and thinking about how to free myself from these unhelpful thoughts and the uncomfortable state of feeling blocked. I listened for answers in the quietude of my meditations. And I followed the prescriptions of what turned out to be sound and effective advice. peer are five methods to getting through “stuck” energy:

  •  Set the intention – Sometimes we forget to do even the simplest and most effective things to rid ourselves of negative energy and worry. Setting the intention is a great example of that. As Wayne Dyer wrote: “When you’re connected to the power of intention, everywhere you go, and everyone you meet, is affected by you and the energy you radiate. As you become the power of intention, you’ll see your dreams being fulfilled almost magically, and you’ll see yourself creating huge ripples in the energy fields of others by your presence and nothing more.” So get the intention to let go of energy blocks in your soul and let the universe help you with getting back to a more balanced, happier state of being.
  •  Meditate – Find at least 15 minutes a day to get quiet and empty your mind of everything and give your mind, emotions and body a break from an ongoing assault of subconscious and worrisome thoughts. Having “no thought” is a form of meditation. Simply sit comfortably, breathe in and out, and try to empty your mind of all thought for as long as you can.
  •  Stretch – Give yourself the luxury of a good stretch. This is useful before and after each of these steps. Its effectiveness can be enhanced if you can stretch in a sunny place inside or outside.
  •  Smile – Find or do something to smile or laugh about – every day! This can be anything from having a glass of wine, hugging a pet or reading a book of jokes to painting, doing lunch with a friend, writing a poem, holding the baby or going for a bike ride. It doesn’t matter what it is as long as it’s something you truly enjoy, makes you smile and feels good.
  •  Tries to acupuncture – This can be a tremendously effective way to activate your goal of them blocking energy and getting the qi (life force) moving in a healthier way. Just be sure to find a qualified acupuncturist. And repeat as necessary.
