Everyone loves a cute baby panda! And in a story as sweet as this, even the grumpiest of people have to smile! Captive panda cub Yuanzai meets her mother in an emotional first encounter since birth, in China. The giant panda cub was born on July 6 to a female panda named Yuan Yuan and a male panda named Tuan Tuan at the Taipei Zoo.
She currently lives in an incubator after accidentally sustaining a minor leg injury when the mother panda tried to grasp and lick the baby. After the reunion, zoo staff said Yuan Yuan’s behavior made them believe she will be a good mother, and it won’t be long before Yuanzai is put in her mother’s care.
