Scientists Say Mars Was Inhabited – Here’s What They Know.

In the last few years incredible discoveries were made by NASA’s very own ‘alien robots’ on the surface of Mars. Methane… lots of methane on Mars. One of those unexplained and incredible discoveries is without a doubt the presence of methane on Mars. On earth, 90% of all methane in the atmosphere is produced by living organisms. Curiosity capture traces of methane on the red planet and scientists believe this could point to the presence of life on Mars.

in latest news, scientists have for the first time confirmed liquid water flowing on the surface of present-day Mars, a finding that will add to speculation that life could persist now. “This is tremendously exciting,” James L Green, the director of NASA’s planetary science division, said during a news conference on Monday. “We haven’t been able to answer the question, ‘does life exist beyond Earth?’ But following the water is a crucial element of that. We now have, I think, great opportunities in the right locations on Mars to thoroughly investigate that.”

So can we rule out life on Mars? Of course not, everything is possible at the moment, and things are going to get even more exciting in the coming months. For now, there is only one clear thing, something is causing methane levels to multiply up to 10 times and then back down drastically. Many scientists firmly agree that Mars sustain life in the distant past, and it is likely that evidence of that life can be found deep inside Mars.

a new study has confirmed that Mars had a huge ocean. It is likely that much of the northern hemisphere was covered with water according to the work of an international team of scientists from the European Southern Observatory (ESO), the WM Keck Observatory and NASA’s infrared telescopes in Hawaii. “Our study provides a solid estimate of how much water Mars once had, by determining how much water was lost to space,” said Geronimo Villanueva, a scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and lead author of the paper.

If there is water, life as we know it could exist right? So we have two major findings on Mars, the presence of water and methane, but there is more. According to a study by scientists at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, water flowed on Mars less than 1 million years ago, which is sooner than previously thought, and researchers do not rule out the possibility for the liquid coming back on the red planet in the near future. This was due to a favorable tilt of Mars just 500,000 years ago, and a similar tilt will occur again in 140,000 years. This is based on the fact that researchers know that Mars, at one point in the distant past, had a different axle tilt which is basically the angle between the poles and its orbital plane.

Now, with all that being said, how strange would it be that in the distant past, somehow, a civilization developed on Mars? A Martian civilization that would have left behind traces of their existence, buildings, statues, temples, hundreds of thousands of years ago, now covered by the harsh Martian environment.

Is it possible that all of the images we have seen from Mars, beamed back by the curiosity rover aren’t just Pareidolia as many suggest? What if in some of those images, we are looking at actual remains of structures on Mars?
