The Akashic Records are essentially a library containing all the information of the universe. Everything that has ever happened or will happen, every thought and word spoken in every reality lies within the Akashic Records and they’ve existed since the beginning of Creation. It’s also known as the Book of Life, the Collective Consciousness, and even the Universal Computer. Of course the Akashic Records don’t lie in a physical library, but instead they’re simply an energy imprinted in the consciousness of the universe.
Akasha is a Sanskrit word typically meaning “space” or “sky.” In Hinduism, Akasha is the basis of all physical things, the first element created from the astral world which the four basic elements come from (water, earth, fire, air). It can also be used to describe the universal etheric field of energy which have been said to be the DNA of the universe. In other words, the Akashic Records.
Ether is the substance believed to be spread throughout the entire universe, including in between particles and which vibrations create light and electromagnetic radiation in. So the universal etheric field is just an energy that lies everywhere in the entire universe. The information of the universe is stored within this energy and is made of the same energy that creates this universe; the energy of love. The energy stored in the Akashic Records is pure love and truth.
Each person’s soul has its own Akashic Record, as well as each family or group or species, and any person can access any part of their own Akashic Record. Through meditation, prayer, and any mind and body opening techniques, or even with help from another person, we can access the Akashic Records to learn about ourselves, our pasts, past lives of our souls, our soul’s purpose, and much more about the universe.
This doesn’t mean that anyone can access the Akashic Records as soon as they learn of their existence and learn everything about the universe. Without spirituality, awareness, discipline, and harmony between mind, body, and spirit, you cannot easily access the truth of the Records. A weak connection to your higher self, being clouded by your ego, or lack of trust in the divine can all prevent you from accessing the information of the universe.
The main purpose of learning the information you can from the Akashic Records is to become closer to your higher self, closer to the divine, closer to your soul’s purpose, and to realize that you are one and the same as the universe/God/Love.
